Membership

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

1 Peter 2:9-10

Membership Matters

One of the wonderful things we find in Scripture is that God has not called us to be solitary Christians, but he has called us together as his people.

So here at Ambassador we love church membership! It’s one of the key ways we commit ourselves to each other as a local church. We find ourselves part of a community where others are committed to our growth, and where we are committed to theirs. We find ourselves drawn into relationship with people who are different from us, and who help us live out the unity we have in Christ. We find ourselves under the care of leaders that we recognise and who are committed to our welfare. We find ourselves partnering alongside each other to hold out the good news of Jesus to others.

If you would like to find out more about how the Bible teaches that church membership is so important, and why every Christian ought to be a member of a local church, you can read more here.

Interested in pursuing membership?

Here's how you can go about that:

These are an opportunity to meet some of our elders and staff, find out more about the church, and learn more about membership and what it would mean to make Ambassador your home. Let us know if you’re interested, and we’ll contact you with details of our next one.

This will be explained at our membership information meetings, and can be completed here on the website. Just get in touch if you would prefer to fill this out by hand.

After submitting your membership questionnaire, one of our elders will get in touch to find a convenient time for an informal interview. These are a chance for us to hear more about how you became a Christian, to learn how we can best serve you, and to answer any questions you have.
