China
We support International China Concern (ICC), a Christian development organisation bringing love, hope and opportunity to China’s abandoned and disabled children. Founded in 1993 by former Ambassador member, David Gotts, ICC exists to help the disadvantaged live life to the full and to their God-given potential. Since 1993, it has partnered with the Chinese government to develop social welfare for the abandoned and disabled.
Projects in China are predominantly managed by Chinese nationals and supported by dedicated international volunteers both in China and abroad.
As well as a safe and loving home ICC aims to provide therapy, education, food and clothing, and medical attention. It trains and provides sufficient Chinese employees to ensure the best possible care. ICC’s aim is, however, to do much more than just care for daily needs, and also seeks to empower and equip, teaching valuable life skills and enabling each person to be as independent as possible.
To support the work of ICC, you can pray, sponsor a child, join a team in China, fundraise, or promote the work of ICC locally.
